Event Details:

The KFNW Charity Fish-A-Thon Open is an annual online fishing tournament in Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Proceeds this year will be awarded to Heroes on the Water (Pacific Northwest Chapters).

Competitors will pay a $25 entry fee and those proceeds will go to the winner, minus TourneyX and PayPal fees.

In addition, KFNW asks each competitor to sign up at least one sponsor for $25 (including themselves optionally) to pledge a donation, calculated per fish, or as a lump sum.  There is a 20 fish limit in the competition, so that limits how big the the donation per fish can be.

This is an open, so no AOY points will be earned or awarded and KFNW membership is NOT required.

How it Works:

  • Download the Pledge Form >
Complete the form and send a scan or photo of the form to kfnw.marvin@gmail.com.
  • All competitors MUST raise at least $25 in donation pledges or they will be disqualified from the event.
  • You can pledge $25 yourself to cover the minimum.
  • Ask your friends, family and/or local businesses to make a pledge to donate. Their pledge can be an amount per fish, times the number bass you catch (up to 20), or a lump sum amount.
  • Digital online contribution form can be found at kayakfishingnorthwest.com/2022-live-events/2022-kfnw-charity-fish-a-thon.
  • Once I have received all the funds, I’ll send them to the Charity and make an announcement with the total funds raised.
  • The person who raises the most money wins a NRS Fishing Kuda 106 inflatable stand-up paddleboard.
  • We will also be giving away Maverik gift cards that can be used for gas or any products in Maverik stores: $100 to 1st Place, $50 to 2nd and 3rd Place, and $25 to six other random anglers.
